Silent Film Score Rentals

Are you interested in presenting silent film(s) with live music, but don't know where to start? Look no futher! Mr. Greene's scores, compiled for use by the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, are available for rental. Perfect for groups ranging from a symphony orchestra to your local chamber group, or even just a pianist, our scores are easy-to-use and come ready to go for performance. All score rentals come complete with a performance guide, listing all tempos, cues, repeats, etc. to fit the music to the action on the screen.

All of our silent film scores use the actual music that existed when the films were originally released - it's the closest thing to actually being back in the silent era! The scores feature a combination of two steps, fox-trots, waltzes, classical selections, overtures, "pop" music, and of course, rags. Below are the film scores we currently offer for rental:

For Small Orchestra:

Parts for: 1st Violin, 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute/Piccolo, Clarinet in A/Bb, 1st & 2nd Cornets in Bb and A, Trombone, Percussion (Sound Effects) and Piano/Conductor.

 

For Full Orchestra:

Parts for: 1st Violin, 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Piccolo, 1st Clarinet in A/Bb, 2nd Clarinet in A/Bb, Oboe, Bassoon, 1st & 2nd Cornets in Bb/A, Horns in F, Trombone, Percussion (Timpani & Drum Kit), and Piano/Conductor.
